About Scarlett

I’m Scarlett. Hair colour expert, educator, mum, and someone who believes there’s a better way to do hair.

With over 20 years in the industry, I’ve learnt that great hair isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s about doing things differently.

I work with women who are tired of constant salon appointments, harsh regrowth lines and colour that feels like another thing on their never ending to do list.

My approach is about creating effortless, natural looking colour that works with your features, your lifestyle and your long term hair goals. Hair that grows out beautifully, prioritises its condition and gives you the freedom to spend less time and money maintaining it.

Because your hair should work for your life, not the other way around.

A little about me

I started hairdressing at 15, trained with Toni & Guy and went on to co own and run a successful salon for five years. During that time, I trained our team and other hair professionals in my approach to bespoke colour.

My passion for learning has never stopped. I continue to invest in my own education, learning from some of the best in the industry and constantly refining my skills, knowledge and approach to colour. I believe that being a great hairdresser and educator means always being willing to learn, question and grow.

After having my second child, I decided to step away from salon ownership and build a business on my own terms. One that gave me more freedom and allowed me to focus on the kind of hairdresser and educator I truly wanted to be.

Today, I work from a dedicated freelance space in Melanie Giles hairdressing Frome, Somerset, offering a personal one to one experience with no double booking, no rushing and all of my attention on you and your hair.

My specialisms include lived in blondes, dimensional colour and modern grey blending. But more than anything, I care about finding an approach that works for you.

I’m not here to sell you constant maintenance or chase every trend. I’m here to give you honest advice, look after your hair and help you find a colour you can feel good about long after you leave my chair.

Alongside my clients, I educate hairdressers who want to build their confidence in modern colour, rethink traditional approaches and create a business that works for them.

I believe in sharing what I’ve learnt, being honest about the industry and helping other hairdressers find their own way of doing things.
